About Me

Hi! I'm Yasmeen- Single Mama, Student, Homebody and Doula!
I grew up in Burnsville, MN, currently living at home with my family and beautiful little girl Reyna. I come from a West-Indian/Mexican background! I enjoy spending whatever free time I have bundled up in my little nook with a romance/thriller in hand alongside a hot cup of chai. I also enjoy making memories with family, Spending time outdoors and seeing the world through my daughter's eyes. I also take pleasure into learning something new everyday whether that be something big or small!

When someone asks me what made me want to pursue becoming a Doula, I answer simply with it's something I am very passionate about. I have always had an interest in pregnancy specifically because I think it's amazing on what our bodies can do as women! My long-term goal is to become a Midwife someday & this is a step in the right direction. I was 20 yrs old and married at the time my daughter was born but throughout my pregnancy I was dealing with a lot in my marriage that ended up leading to a divorce and I was still processing the fact that I was having a baby and entering a completely new stage in my life while still being so young. Although, having the support from my family it was really nice to know that I could count on my midwives for that extra support as well. At the time, I had basic knowledge of what a doula was and didn't think much of it. However, being where I am now I wish I did go that route as well by having a doula by my side because the support we provide for mothers (as well as their partners) is like no other. My goal as a doula is to advocate for mother's as pregnancy & labor/delivery puts you in a vulnerable state, I also like to help partners be more hands on during the process of everything because sometimes they feel helpless while mom is going through so much. I want to be the person you feel like you can count on during this process!

With that said, if you're in the same position as I was, if you're doing it alone or even if you feel like you have all the support you need but want someone that's there specifically for you whether it be medicated or unmedicated, a hospital birth or home birth, I would love for you to reach out and see if I'm the right fit for you <3
